So I posted a while back about the ilovebees.com page which was shown for a split second at the end of the Halo 2 theatrical trailer. Well, all hell is breaking loose.

What's an ARG? Alternate Reality Game. It works like this - someone sets up a phony scenario. It's a game and nothing more, but you live it out. Phone calls, locations, etc.

Today is the day the "countdown" ended on ilovebees.com. Over the last few weeks, Earth-based coordinates have been listed on the site. The coordinates are for pay phones all over the country. Today, after the countdown ended, the site had coordinates listed in groups of 7 (Bungie's trademark) with a total tally of 777 possible 'points' (again, Bungie).

TechTV is supposed to be at the Santa Monica location at 11:11 PST today.

If something happens at 2 of the 7 grouped coordinates, ilovebees.com releases a .wav file.

This is kinda cool.

People have been reporting pay phones ringing when they were supposed to. Some sites are duds. If you don't answer properly, Melissa hangs up on you.

This is what I gathered so far.

The ARG is allowing people to more or less "live out" how the Covenant find Earth. It's like a real-world prelude to the game. Something crash landed on Earth that's supposed to spy on the Covenant, and the AI inside it found this ilovebees.com site as a way "out". Apparently, sometime between now and November 9, the Covenant find Earth.

This fills a gap in the storyline since 345 Guilty Spark never had access to Cortana's memory files.

Hmm, looks like the ones in Madison were finished... Thats cool

By the sounds of the audio files, this has some high production values.

...when in fact this is just a new username. I've been on these forums for years under a variety of names. My sig is mistyped because it was the easiest way to prevent it from rendering, since demonhood pmed me about it being too big.

Actually I am making a video game, so I guess I will eh?
