Hi,
I am trying to open a .bin file but without any luck.
My Stuffit Expander does not recognise the file as being compressed or encoded.
I actually succeded to open the file on a PC using Deamon Tools, so I know it is encoded.
I also checked my Stuffit Expander for opdates but I think I already got the latest version...

What am I doing wrong?

Forgive me for eventually stating the obvious.
How do you try to open ? Double-click ?
Try drag-drop the file over the Stuffit Expander app icon.

It's probably not a MacBinary file, but a CD image of some sort with a generic .bin extension. What format is the file? Gumby might be able to convert it to an ISO, or something.

It is a video-file.
There is both a .bin and a .cue file, do you have any experiences opening such files?

Sounds like a CD image to me. I think Toast can burn bin/cue files?

What he said.

No need to "decode" the file.

I just installed vlc and am now able to play the video-files :-)
I just recently invested in my powerbook so I am still not very familiar with all the mac-programs, can anyone explain me why I would need toast to burn my files?
I guess I can also burn them without toast, what is the advantage of using toast?

Thank you for your help guys!
