I can't figure Safari out.

It seems that I get beachballs spinning on pages all the time. They spin for 3 - 7 seconds and then go away until the next page. It happens on my my yahoo home page, etc. etc. I am current on OS X and Safari.

It happens all by itself sometime when I go to a page, sometimes when I try to leave. Sometimes while I am just sitting there reading.

Camino runs like a fire hydrant in comparison. Even Netscape is better.

Any advice ... anyone else have this kind of problems.

Well, I've used Firefox for a while now because of that very problem. Do you have PithHelmet installed? If so, remove it, as it slows things down a lot. Also, do the standard procedure of flushing your cache and resetting Safari, maybe also repairing permissions, just in case. If those don't work, then I guess you're out of luck. Apple just needs to update Safari, but they haven't done so in a long time and there are still a lot of bugs.

Have a search on here, it's been discussed several times. Seems to be very common, and all we can do is wait for an update. Sucks a bit I know, as it bugs the heck out of me. With so many people having the same problem, you'd think apple would have done something about it sooner.

Turn off the Autofill options in Safari Preferences. Re-launch. If that helps, turn on the one(s) you use one at a time.

Let the forum know if you notice a speedup.
