I'm using an optimiized compile of 4.06 along with the Altivec enhanced 4.30 SETI client for G4 7450 (thanks mikkyo and javalizard). Will this new version be required at some point and/or will it automatically overwrite my 4.06? - I've had a message in my log telling me of it's availability already. Or will BOINC be happy for me to continue with 4.06?. This new setup seems a lot more vague than the old SETI classic where you couldn't make your own clients and had to be running the client they told you.
