This may be in the wrong forum, but here it goes. I was messing around with stuff in the sytem folder on a G4 -800 Imac running 10.3 and now I cannot get an internet connection. Through a router using DHCP, also it takes awhile to get through the adin pages of the router (takes a while to load). Cable modem, but I don't have the software to connect direct. Cablevision says it thinks my router is not requesting a new IP, but I just tried two different routers withthe same results.
Should I reinstall the OS and which one? Jag or Panther?
Thanks for the help.
So after reading some more threads it looks like I can install 10.3 and then go look for combo update on apple site. I will drag my app folder to a external hard drive before doing this. AND Then I will learn how to use Retrospect.
Thanks
Can I not have OS 9. on this computer (that's what I was trying to get rid of in the sys folder?
