It is actually a melancholy tuba.
Why they don't call it Melancholy Tuba Area is beyond me.

That one makes sense. Drive and park are connected; usually, you don't do one without doing the other. You have to drive into a driveway before you can park. Likewise, drive on a parkway and you'll see there are places to park along the way.

You ever go out drinking with your friends, and then they all swear that some chick keeps looking at you, so you go and talk to her and it turns out she has no interest in you; she was looking at the TV that happened to be behind you from her point of view? Yeah, that was fun. Not.

Sometimes, W helps another vowel make a specific sound (like in the words "cow" and "crawl"). I guess you can call it a helping vowel.

The letters "ow" are making two different vowel sounds in those words. In "cow" it's the diphthong "au" and in "crow" it's "ou."

So you're saying that the "r" isn't helping in any way?

Exactly. The R isn't helping to make the vowel sound at all. While "cow" and "crow" have different vowel sounds, "bow" (like bowing before royalty) and "brow" don't. If you like, you can think of the W as a stand-in for a U.

Had a bunch of tabs open, made my reply, hit the submit button, moved to another tab. 40 minutes later, notice that there is a tab open labeled "MacNN Forums - Reply to Topic." So I go to it and see that my typed up reply is still there, waiting for me to hit submit.
It must have posted the message but not redirected me or anything.
