Weird iPhoto problem. When I was installing the 10.3.6 update I neglected to quit Safari and screwed things up. I reinstalled off the system disks and then did all the upgrades and never noticed any problems. However, my wife just tried to use iPhoto and while it will run, no window comes up and in the Preference window there are no icons. I checked and this is true for all users except the admin.

So I did all the obvious things. Deleted preferences. Rebuilt permissions. Reinstalled iLife. All to no avail. I can run it with no problem but no other user can.

Anyone have a clue as to what might be the problem? I've tried everything I can think of and am at an impasse.

Strange.

If you're comfortable with the command line, open up a terminal window and do this:

cd /Applications
sudo chmod -R a+x iPhoto.app
<enter admin password when prompted>

And see if that fixes it.

I had thought of that before as well. It makes no difference. (So far as I'm aware, iPhoto doesn't write to its bundle though) I also thought there might be some cache or the like. But I'm fairly sure I've found all the caches/preferences.

However ArchiveDocumnet.nib and the other files are set to be readable.
