Me again...I'm the one who purchased a 64MB card from MacMart...my Performa came with 8MB soldered, 8MB installed and I added 16MB. Spec panel read:
Built in Memory: 32MB....then I bought the 64 and replaced the 8MB installed
...tried it in both sockets with the same result...spec panel reads: 56MB instead of 88...I checked and it is a 2K refresh rate card and specified for the Performa 6400...any ideas?

What OS are you running? On older versions, the Memory Control Panel had a feature called 32 bit addressing (or something like that). If it's on, turn it off. If it's off, turn it on. I remember from back in those days that switching that fixed RAM allocation issues. If it's a newer OS, it won't have that option. If that's the case, I can't think of what it could be.

thanks, PaulS...I am running 8.1 but I don't find any such option in my memory control panel. Will have to make another call to Ramseeker.
