i know that the G5 is the way to go for video and audio editing. however, having a notebook would be useful in many other ways - for teaching, training, on site editing, and just the ability to work outside the office. will a maxed out pb have enough power for the apple production suite, garageband 05, or logic?

will i be disappointed with the G4?

thanks

Well, I'm brand new to the whole Powerbook (apple family). Got a 15" 1.5ghz, 128 video ram, 1gig ram (gonna upgrade to 2 gig soon hopefully) So far all I use is Photoshop, Macromedia MX 2004 pro, Maxon Cinema 4D, and this puppy runs hella smooth. I'm just upgrading cause I like to max out my pc's (now mac(s)). Now just gotta save up for a Mac desktop which I will probably get when I get back from deployment in the Middle East.
