The Apple site says there are three new colors of the Mini but the are not shown or explained any further at least that I can find. AND no I'm not referring to the 5 new armband colors.

Anybody else notice this?

Uhm... green, pink, and blue. The "new" iPod mini colors are significantly more matte finish with a deeper, richer color. Oh, plus the text on the clickwheel now matches the body color.

That is exactly why I think it's so lame. Why say 3 new colors -- why not say the colors are now more vibrant then ever...

Bad deal.

The three new colours thingy is bs to be honest.... ohhh... they dropped gold, and added the colour to the click wheel buttons...

That's Marketing for you! Slap 'New Improved' on something and it sells more, even if it's the same.

From the pictures, the colours sure do look more vibrant to me. Or this could just be glorified marketing? Hmm...

No, I saw them tonight at my local Apple store. The "new" colors are indeed more vibrant than they were before. Much nicer, IMHO. And, yes, the text/icons on the click wheel now match the iPod mini's body color (pink for pink, blue for blue, etc).

I have a 1G silver mini. I would probably now buy a blue one just so I could have the colored buttons. Granted, even on the 1G, the buttons match my silver mini since the buttons are silver on all 1G minis.

Besides the new shade of blue, the pink and green models appear to be just a bit more vibrant than the previous pastels. Not really that big of a big deal, if you think about it.

The green one is my personal favourite of the bunch!

they are much more vibrant in person. I was wondering if i'd be able to tell the difference, and from about 15 feet away, i caught sight of the new ipod mini section. WOW .. not sure if i'm a fan of the change ... but it's VERY VERY noticeable. I wonder if the silver mini is still powerbook colored or not .. =/

I saw the green one today. It's a bright neon green. All of the new Minis are very bright.

Not sure if I like it, but it's interesting. I thought the green looked better than the pink or blue, but I still like the silver the best.

My sig is 1 pixel too big.

Well, at long last I have found some of the first (rev b) green iPod mini pics to be posted on the net. Please comment if you notice much of a difference between this new green colour and the old colour. Enjoy:

I think the new green mini's are going to be really popular this time around. Especially considering the new blue is a little bit too loud for most people's tastes... Time will tell.

starting to wish I had gotten a green one. Anyways for ipod mini owners do you find the mini really slow to transfer songs to via firewire, at least compared to its full size cuzins?

I thought just the opposite! The green looked really loud, while the blue was not quite as loud. I kinda wish I could get the old 4GB green color in the 6GB size! ( I got a blue 6GB since I didn't really like the green)

Nope, seemed to be as fast as the full-sized. I am actually impressed with USB 2.0, though. I might not use Firewire with the new Mini.

I agree. I wanted a green 6GB (based on what I'd seen of the old one) but didn't like it, the blue, or the pink when I saw them all in person. Got a silver one instead.

I'd love to, but I can't remember the link adress. I tried searhing for it, but could not find it. This really sucks. I wish tooki could have had the courtesy to change it to a link, instead, the forum loses out.

If I can find it again, I will post the link.

Yeah, the 50% hard drive size increase and the tripled battery life are irrelevant.

I found these pics at ( http://www.ipodlounge.com ). There are only two other pictures that I have. After seeing them, you'll understand why I didn't bother with them first time:

The new green is a lot nicer than the old one, as is the blue.

The new shock-pink is quite nasty - I really liked the old pink. It'll sell well, though.

This from comparisons in person - we've had them in the store for a few days now.
