There's already been hints that it could be a couple of weeks from now. Sooner would be gravy.

that's really bad. i have paid for all of Unsanity apps. even the ones that i don't use.
i will always support them but you would expect them to be ready for a major upgrade like Tiger.

it's not like it was a surprise announcement...

I'm stopping by!

SS is basically done, but it can't be released until I get all of the application skins for Tiger updated in ThemePark. The reason is that some of the app skin resources have changed location and ShapeShifter needs to be aware of that. And I don't know which ones have changed location until I've finished updating the app skin templates.

I'm finished with the "tough" ones, fortunately. And I don't plan to hold the release of ShapeShifter to match the release of ThemePark - SS has already been through testing, the app skin stuff is just new data in old code, so when the app skins are done, SS'll be out the door. So, days, not weeks. I'd be surprised if it doesn't make it out by Monday.

Side note: app skin templates suck my will to live. tigerThemePatches01.plist: 4429 lines of XML. Mail.app appskin patches: 4736 LoXML. iChat patches: 4151 LoXML. Pure evil.

Second side note: I don't know where this "couple of weeks from now" thing came from. Has no basis in fact.

take your time with it, but...once i get my hands on tiger, i'll be asking for it too

i just hope, by the time i get tiger and SS, great themes will be out...or does the new SS do something to old themes to make them look "ok" in tiger?

You're a hunky guy. I knew that.

I'm with you on the large data lists. Currently my picture database gives me the creeps. It's blown up to nearly 50,000 items and getting rid of doubles and proper naming gets me ill.

Toodles!

You can install a lot of theme without a theme changer.

I did.

I could use the license for WindowShade X if you don't plan on using it you could just give it to me. I'm more than happy to wait for updates. I'd rather have somethign complete than something rushed like OS 10.0

WindowShadeX and FruitMenu have been updated for Tiger. They work just fine.

The theme file is held here.

"/System/Library/Frameworks/Carbon.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/HIToolbox.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Extras.rsrc"

Edit that file in Themepark, and then replace it. Make sure to back up the original.

That is how themeing was done before theme changers.

Well you can change the MAIN look of the OS with just one file.

There are other extra stuff for some themes.

Say you just want to get rid of the stripes in Aqua.

One file needed.
