Longhorn. The "Long" stands for.... and the "horn" stands for...

Long:

Long wait for someone to help you troubleshoot the embedded bugs in the OS
Long wait for the OS to come out
Long time no see important files when they become 'corrupt'

horn:

We don't mean to toot our own 'horn' here but it's going to kick OS X Tiger's arse when it comes out... see Long...

We so horn-y we can't get the OS to work right in time for a delivery date.
We horn-in in on Tiger's action and release because we are so slow in copying it...

Longhorn... take 30mL to induce vomiting. In the case of caustic toxins, do not consume Longhorn.

Don't try to outweird me, I get stranger things than you free with my breakfast cereal.

Being a Texan, and having lived in Bevo country (that's Austin for those not in the know), I DO NOT want to have anything to do with "Longhorn" at this time. I'll let others exercise their creativity...

I just keep telling myself it's named after a peak in BC, Canada.

I actually got it off the web. It was a banner soon after Tiger was announced.

Longhorn beats Mac OS 10.6 to market by three weeks, final nail in Apple's coffin.

Darn, I'm having problems submitting the PDF in the original post using Safari and Acrobat Reader. Windows, no problem, and it worked just fine before I upgraded to Safari 1.3.
Is it just my computer or has the whole world gone crazy?
