Hi
My keychain access just stopped accepting my usual password! I can't send email or do a whole bunch of stuff now.

The only recognizable "events" are these...
In preparation for loading Tiger, I booted into single user mode and tried to run fsck -y. It told me it would not run because the volume is journaled. I then typed "logout", thinking that would get me out.

It did but I was probably supposed to type reboot.

I then booted from an older 10.3 disk which turned out to be a bad disk so I had to abort the boot by hitting the power button (did that damage something?)

I then booted from this machines "sofware install" DVD and ran Repair Permissions and Repair Disk under disk utility.

Then I booted up again.

Now my keychain doesn't recognize my standard password.

What do I do?

Are you talking about your login keychain or additional keychains?
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

I went back and tried every password I usually use--it looks like I must have modified it myself. After try #4 it opened.
