I was thinking upgrading, but can't find any reviews at xlr8yourmac. Any comments about performance, reliability, and heat would be appreciated.

Take a look at http://www.wegenermedia.com/pg4550.htm. They seem reputable, and have produced other cpu upgrades for the wallstreet. They are the cheapest though:

fastmac g4 550 $290
daystar g4 550 $290
wegener g4 550 $200

From an email I sent a while ago, they said they are selling a lot and the cpu upgrade runs cooler than the g3 500. Hard to believe, but I was hoping someone with the upgrade could comment.
