Can't get rid of OS9 desktop alais

You would think by not having OS9, and being in 10.4.1, by now I'd never have to see anything about OS9, but this alias keeps coming back on the Mac HD root. It's an alias that does not point to anything. I delete it ok, but would be nice for it not to keep coming back.

It's probably a program you have installed.

No it's not.. I have the same exact problem ... !!! And I don't have any OS9 programs running at any time.

I didn't suggest it was an OS 9 program. I said it's probably a program you have installed. We've had threads on this before, and that's what it turned out to be, if I recall correctly. Kevs doesn't have OS 9 installed, so I certainly didn't think it was an OS 9 program.

Are you sure you don't still have a 'Desktop Folder' at the root of your boot volume? perhaps it's set invisible. The symlink is created at boot (look at /etc/rc).
