i know this probably won't interest many people here but my brother-in-law got me this can of iraqi mountain dew while he was on leave a few weeks ago. he is a big dew drinker and says the iraqi dew tastes like crap compared to the stuff here. i have to get him a few cases of "good" dew when he gets back from his tour there. (since i work for pepsi and can get a discount its the least i can do for his great work there.)

A lot of soft drinks taste different in different countries. It has to do with regional ingredients, etc. Sometimes different countries have different laws as to what can be put in them.

A good example is Diet Coke. In the US, we're still using aspartame (NutraSweet), but in Greece, Coca Cola Light (Diet Coke) uses a different artificial sweetener, ascesulfame (aka Sunette). Personally, I think the Greek Diet Coke tastes better than the American stuff.

But Coca-Cola is making Diet Coke with Splenda now, too. (Both versions are on the market). The Splenda stuff also has ascesulfame in it as well, and it tastes more like the Greek version.

In Central America, Coke and Pepsi products are made with real sugar, not that crappy high fructose corn syrup mess.

They are so yummy. I brought back a case from Honduras to mix with.

Soft drinks taste different depending on the region's preference. Coca-Cola sold in most countries of Africa, for example, tastes absolutely nothing like Coca-Cola from the U.S. My dad brought me back a Coke from Japan and South Africa. The one from South Africa didn't taste like Coke at all, the one from Japan tasted a little weird too.

Go to Vegas and visit Coca-Cola on the strip. You can taste all the world's drink versions.

They also have a big huge arcade, and a climbing wall! Okay, just go for the coke.

Does it have a pull-tab? I was amazed to see pull-tabs on soda cans when I was in Saudi Arabia. I also found brand new shrink wrapped 5.25" floppy disks over there too.

I miss Mountain Dew. It used to be all I drank when I lived in the US. Here in Europe it's nowhere to be found

i remember about 7-8 years ago mountain dew was available here (ireland) but there were a lot of rumours circulating concerning mountain dew and its affect on sperm count.

Rumour or not, we haven't been able to get mountain dew since.

That's Yellow Dye #5, a food additive. Mountain Dew has a lot of it.

I also can't stand that sh*t. Mountain Dew is absolutely disgusting.
