Filevault password?

I WANT to enable filevault, but I set the master password previously and now I can't remember it (no matter how I try). I have not encrypted anything yet. I understand I can decrypt the disk image using my current password, but it would be nice to have the second one as insurance just in case. Is there any way for me to reset the master password short of actually reinstalling the OS?

I don't have an answer to your question, but I do have words of caution. I don't know if this happens or not in Tiger, but in the past in 10.3, whenever I activated FileVault, all the data in my home directory is erased.
