How come in Tiger I can choose to have my photos shuffle if I pick a folder, but not if I choose my iPhoto library or an iPhoto album? (ie: change desktop picture every X minutes... it's greyed out if I pick anything from the iPhoto items)

I work around this by selecting the photos I want to rotate between in iPhoto, then I click the Desktop icon. You'll now have the options you're looking for... the selection in the pref pane will be "iPhoto Selection"
