changing the computer icon in finder

currently my computer icon is an imac g5 and i want to change it to a powerbook since my computer is a powerbook. (i'm running 10.4)
i can't do a copy and paste because it is read only and i tried in candybar but it has not actually changed the icon.
has anyone been able to do this?

i've tried candybar but it didn't change the icon :/
edit: i worked it out, restarting finder or just logging out and back in again didn't work, i needed to restart.
