Hello. I need help..The Powermac G 4 network card does not recognize my modem. The modem is recognized by my laptop so I know it is the computer. Is there something I can buy and do myself or do I have to pay a bundle to take it to the shop? Please advise if you can save me some money. thanks

I've found that some cables will work with one network card, but not another. Try another network cable before you do anything drastic.
