I'm trying to split vob files (recordings from my PVR), but have yet to find a Mac app that will let me do this (for free). Typically I would like to view the video and mark ins/outs when I see them... (so not just split into X segments or blocks of X megabytes)

Any suggestions?

MPEG StreamClip is the best (and free), but requires the Apple MPEG-2 decoder (US$20) to read MPEG-2 content

ffmpeg can probably do it (free), but you won't be able to preview anything. VOB files can sometimes be split just as raw data ('man dd'), but you might have to do some laborious trimming afterwards to get GOP headers to line up.
