Seriously. Why are half the threads in the Lounge just ripped out of the Fark headlines. Are we so bored that we have to rehash the rehashed web? Why not just leave comments at Fark? Maybe we could have the mods make a way to have the threads link straight over there.

Why is it ever timer I find a good link, or news story, or something Fark comes along and puts it on its site and then everyone is like "Josh, you just copied that from Fark." Fark eventually gets all the cool stories. I mean, even stories I read on slashdot end up on Fark if they're funny. Fark is like the Borg. It will assimilate everything.

Its a conversation starter. Some people enjoy talking about current events. Not all of us can come up with random nonsense threads like some people on this forum.

I don't even read Fark. Just because Fark has an article on it. Doesn't mean anyone copied from it.

Fark gets it's news just like we do.

Fark is just a page of recycled crap.

Has it occurred to you that some of us don't actually read Fark? Or Something Awful? Or Slashdot?

Or that all of those sites get their stories from somewhere too?

Do you post threads to Fark complaining that you already read something at CNN?

You're so 1337, dude, some day I want (my mom) to be just like you.

Yeah.. Fark is just a collection of recycled crap. They have no moral high ground.

They get their articles the same way MacNN gets it's threads.

FARK is submission based. The stories come from people who send them in, with the goal of making a funny headline that points to a hopefully humorous of newsworthy (rarely) story.

It's not news, it's FARK.com.

I see that my point was lost. Of course not everyone reads Fark. Its starting to get to where its like a race to post whatever lame news story comes up.

Also thanks for calling me l33t. I'm sure your mom is at least as l33t as me.

Your point was lost...

So what was your point?

BTW I have seen stuff here posted before it was posted over at Fark.

Should Fark then link MacNN?
