$70.
I could only budget ~$10 per family member, but everyone seemed to love their gift so far.

750 or so. I rarely keep track of my spending, but I do try to "even out" the gifts. "Ok, just got Dad a really nice coat, so I'll get Mom 2 sweaters and some gloves..."

:-) y'know, that means you could still buy a water buffalo and a goat for someone through heifer international and only be $2.88 over budget... ;-)
be well.

A lot and I'm embarrassed to admit it, I think.
I bought my husband and son new Tag Heuer watches (at cost from our friend who is a jeweler in the local mall), my little son an iBook (used), my husband a reverse osmosis water filtration system for filtering water for his aquariums, I bought my older son a new notebook/laptop (new not used) but I had a really nice coupon for $200 off and used it, and of course a lot of toys for the two little boys. Books from Amazon for friends. Got some DVDs, etc. Also bought a lot of gift certificates this year.
I have been working very hard this year and I used my earnings to make a nice Christmas after hurricanes and ill health this year. I wanted to make sure everyone has a wonderful Christmas and holiday.
I also bought a new (used) waverunner (jet ski) set (pair) for taking down to the Keys. Our friend bought them a year ago, used them once, and unloaded them for exactly 50% less than what he paid for them last March. Since they're used and everyone knows about them (they are not a secret) I'm not sure if they're considered a Christmas present, though that's what I've called them: A Christmas gift to the family from the family.
So, although I spent a lot of money, I was very careful about what I bought and yes, I also had a budget. I planned everything out in advance.
Now, what I want to know is this: Volks, what did YOU buy?

Not so much this year. I have to save a little for my father's 60th birthday (beginning of February) and I start a new job. I expect my first salary at the end of February/March
The last couple of years, I've spent something like 500 €, give and take a few squids (that's roughly $600, I guess). This year it was only about 100 €.

$100, which goes into a college fund for my grandson. The rest of my family gets no gifts and they understand what the season is really about.

About $150 CAD. I just had to buy for my parents and I was on a small budget.
They gave me a wack of stuff + $100 in a card Unfortunatly I have to use that $100 to pay an 'intoxicated in public' fine from the other night.

I think around $100.00 total. My wife doesn't have a job now so have to be careful.

$600ish on wife for gym memebership and sundries (her idea)
$500ish on myself for a makita compound double bevel sliding miter saw
$21k (after trade in) on a 2006 Honda Ridgeline (Woot! Butt warmers!)
$500 on assorted friends and relatives
and I have no idea how much on my daughter. Probably another several hundred.
Now that I've sat down and done the math, I think it is time to go get roaring drunk!

I didn't keep track, but probably ~ $500 or $600. And this was us trying to keep things on the DL this year. Oh well, I'm super happy about how the gifts turned out and so far everyone loves them
