I first heard about Shakira while stationed in Honduras in '99. Hot? Oh yes! Gorgeous? Indeed! And flexible-don't forget flexible! I'd like to see more of her work in U.S. markets, but the marketing people seem to think that the lyrics have to be in English-otherwise her songs go to the Spanish-only markets... Bad idea.

Alejandro Sanz adds a lot of value to that song. His punchline has some intonation that reminds me of some classic native Peruvian song. I might be wrong.
