Does the power button on a cinema display that is connected via this adapter still start up the computer?

I can confirm it works for power on, sleep, and power off with the Apple Studio LCD displays, not sure about the aluminum LCDs though.

You mean Apple Cinema displays, don't you? (The alu displays are dvi only, whereas the studio lcds were a long time ago...)

The 15" and 17" ADC Studio Displays existed after the first Cinema Display, and are architecturally identical to any ADC Cinema Display.

I can confirm the power button does not work on my 20" ADC cinema display connected to a mac mini.
