Heya,
Is there a working solution to have Mail hide on login if it's in the (Login)Startup Items list ?
It still does not work in Tiger . And now we're half-way with 10.4.
I have searched but was not quite able to find a topic that suited my interests.

Hiding Terminal also still doesn't work at login.
Does anyone else experience this issue - the app that was front-most when I put my Mac to sleep is no longer so when I wake from sleep? This has also happened since 10.4.0.

Why don't you setup an applescript that hides the mail.app when you login? Do you really restart your computer that often where hitting cmd-H is really an issue?

It isn't much of an issue but it is still a mildly annoying bug and it is depressing to see it isn't fixed yet when it is so obvious, but then again Apple hasn't fixed the column view in Finder reverting to the wrong width after first logging in and that one has been there since 10.0, so I don't know why we should expect this one to get fixed...

It's not as much as I can't make an AppleScript(I really can't) that hides Mail on login. It's just that when selecting the app to hide on login and it doesn't work as advertised - that's annoying.
And yes I login ond out quite often some days when switching themes and icons. I don't always restart.
