I'm trying to find a way to encrypt an email address (to avoid spam) that has the subject filled in and is image mapped to my image. (I'm using the 'MapSpinner' app to do the image mapping)

So: href="mailto:[email protected]?subject=subject text here"> but encrypted and usable in an image map.

Can anyone clearly explain how I could do this (I'm a bit of a newb to all of this)

As long as the link is there for all the world to see, someone somewhere will figure out how to extract it with a 'bot. Especially as it has the 'mailto:' protocol at the top. You may be better off creating a text link of (for example): user (@) domain . com and then assigning it a javascript 'onclick' event so it uses that to launch your email link ('bots aren't known for supporting a lot of client-side javscript!)
