Does anyone know of a 3rd-party app that is similar to Photoshop or Illustrator, but is as easy to use as iWorks Pages? I'm particularly looking for an app that integrates Apple's color pallet into it. Any ASAP responses would be appreciated!

GIMP is good. It offers the power of Photoshop, but it's Open Source (and thus free). Check it out.

You don't mention price in your post, but if you're not opposed to spending *some* money, PS Elements is good. It does what most users need Photoshop to do for about $80 USD. Of course, if you're looking for free, GIMP seems to be the app of choice... it irks me mightily, but you can't beat the price!

ArtRage (the free version is not full featured but gives you an idea of what it is capable of) - fantastic app. More Illustrator than Photoshop but even that doesn't describe it very well.
