What can be wrong with this iBook 500 dual USB?
It works with a battery but not with the power cord plugged in. Apparently the power cord won't charge the battery either.
Has anyone seen this before?

What does it specifically do when the power cord is plugged in?

Don't know exactly, I'm looking at buying it.
All I know is it works with the battery but when you plug in the power cord it shuts down.

Technically, the thing is "broken." I would NOT buy an iBook that didn't charge unless it's at a crazy low price and I KNEW that I could get it fixed. Without knowledge of WHY the thing doesn't work, you're gambling against the odds.
