I've found a nice photoshop plug-in to correct lens-distortion but I don't feel like buying PS or PS Elements. Are there any PS plug-in compatible alternatives to GraphicConverter?

Why wouldn't you use GraphicConverter? Just out of interest.

I think GC's functionality is great but its GUI has not changed for the last four years and looks still like a carbon port from the classic version.

If it's possible to make PS plug-in compatible software then you would expect that either (1) there are some alternatives or (2) GC claims to be the only non-adobe app compatible with PS plug-ins. Neiter seems to be the case.

I don't know if their is an OS X version, but Color It is compatible with Photoshop Plug-ins; there was a not terribly good carbon app given away in the first year of .Mac that was also compatible with plug-ins.

So, yes there are other plug-in compatible apps out there, but whether they are any better or worse than GC is a matter of opinion.
