AppleCare doesn't cover theft. Call the police and get a police report, then contact your insurance company.

And turn off Caps Lock! I know you're excited, but all-caps looks like you're shouting at us. Bad luck, dude, but move on-it's just an iPod.

If only the iPod had GPS built into it where you could track your iPod from your Mac. Maybe Apple can team up with Google Earth and you could find your iPod no matter where it was in the entire world.

How about some explosive and remote detonator? This way, Apple could just blow up thieves and Windows users.

While on the subject, you could try calling a few thrift/consignment shops in the area to see if anyone's trying to sell it. If you can prove ownership by matching to the serial number on the box, you may get lucky. Realistically, your chance of finding it is minimal, so just write off your losses and move on.

Maybe Apple should offer S/N engraving on the LCD. Please don't call it I-pod either it is clearly iPod.

Huh what? iPods already have the serial number etched on the back, and it's viewable on-screen using the menus.

It's in the Settings > ABOUT menu.

Of course, you don't have it anymore.

iPods are like money. People will steal them. But you know that.

I paid $500 for my 40GB 3G. I would never leave it unguarded.
