Hello and im soon to be a converted PC to G5 Mac user and i wanted to ask if i had the G5 2.5 Quad PowerPC and 1gb of ram. Would i be able to run Fruityloops Studio smoothly with no hitches with virtual PC??

My guess is no. I tried to run FL using VPC once, didn't work. Considering their general hostility towards non-Windows platforms, I'm guessing that won't change for a while.

If you get an Intel Mac, you should be able to run windows. Try out Garage Band and/or Logic though. Maybe you'll find you like it. I wouldn't expect it to work at all in VirtualPC though.

I'm not a huge fan of Fruity Loops. Its okay, I guess. I last used it 5 years ago, so maybe its a lot better than it used to be.

Bootcamp/Windows has some reported issues with audio redirection - which may nix the idea of using outboard interfaces, for now at least

On the G5, VPC is gonna S@^% badly

Suggestion -- look into Garageband.
