I've always wondered how often the average liveaboard takes the 'house' out for a spin.
Could you shed some light on this aspect of living aboard?

You boat appears to have been boarded by a band of stuffed animals, possibly led by the notorious Elmo.
You might want to do something about that.

I'm gonna hazard a guess and go with... ...drilling holes in things. Probably not the hull.

And, after reading the note to landlubbers I'm thinking to myself that the head probably isn't the best place to go to be sea sick.

For almost a year I was a liveaboard on a 26' Columbia on the DC water-front and the boat got out twice in that year. Stowing everything safely on a liveaboard sailboat takes forever and when you've got friends with their "weekend" boats it is always easier to go sailing with them.
But a 36' Pearson is a nice rig. It's got the keel-stepped mast and everything. I wouldn't mind taking that our for a trip around the Bay. With an auto-furling jib, the bimini, and the wheel-steering it would make for some nice cruising.
She's pretty yar, Bandit240. You've got some monster chain-plates on your bulk-heads. How are the shrouds rigged? two middles and a top or one split-middle and one top? I can't quite tell from the 3/4 angle shot off the port bow. Have you got any pics from the side or up on deck?

save the plentitude of stuffed animals, i would imagine you could pull tail like a toddler in a petstore with a sailboat like that.

We keep everything kinda stowed most of the time since it does try to get out at least every other weekend. I live on here with my wife and 1 year old also. The bimini is no longer up since it was ripped all along the top of it from the last owners never taking the boom up to avoid it from sliding around on the bimini. As for the rigging, somewhere down this boats life someone made it into a racing boat and then down the line someone removed most of the racing stuff. Once i get some pics from the 2 days in the harbour uploaded ill post them on here. Im going to go take some pics of the rigging and decks here in a bit.

The cordless drill goes along with the unseen sabersaw, sander, and vacume cleaner. They are for all those nice little projects that come with a boat. Like the table, i built that myself.

What do you miss about land-lubbing?
What do you enjoy that land-lubbing wouldn't allow?

Seeing as how he lives aboard the boat, unless he posts at work ( ) wouldn't ALL of his posts be from 'home?'

It'd look nice if you ditched all that beanie baby crap inside of it and made it look... you know... 'smoove'. Then it could get the ladies. But all I see is a floating kid's playbin.
