best alternative to ms frontpage?

hi, I used to use a windows machine and developed websites thru microsoft frontpage. I now own a mbp and would like to know what you guys use (and what's the best) in terms of software to develop web pages.

It depends on what exactly you need to do. Dreamweaver is a good program if you want WYSIWYG. BBEdit is incredibly powerful if you actually want to work with the page source. Several cheaper options too.

im looking for the best alternative WYSIWYG program. dreamweaver is a bit expensive... but i guess i could snatch it from the web...
what other cheaper options are there

I haven't tried these myself, but they look like they might fit the bill (and are both free).
Nvu for mac, and Mozilla Composer (part of the Mozilla Suite)
