Control Panels/Apple Menu Options, will allow you to increase the number of Recent Documents. However, you don't want to take this number too high, otherwise it will use more RAM. 15 is about the limit.

Why should it use RAM to make some aliases?? It doesn't keep the whole documents "in mind"!
