BroadbandTuner works pretty well. It adjusts the settings that are most often responsible for reducing throughput with Macs, and it WILL work with your computer. The other one... I don't know anything about.
Any neetwork connection you set up with your Mac can benefit from BroadbandTuner, though how much benefit is very much dependent on all the details of the connection.
If you are getting good speeds as tested with a reliable utility like
Speed Test, then you probably don't need much tweaking anyway.
