And shortly after my purchase they came out with the thinner versions with the cameras in them. Is there anyway I can "trade in" my computer and get a discounted price on the new ones?

Not with Apple.

You may be able to sell it in the marketplace/ebay/craigslist and only be a couple hundred short of a refurb Core Duo iMac.

So what would you say the value of my Imac is...

Its in 100% perfect condition

- 20" model
- No iSight
- Keyboard and Mouse aren't wireless
- I got it around September of last year so I don't know if the Apple warranty is still active gotta check
- Already loaded with Adobe Creative Suite 2, Flash, Dreamweaver

With my student discount I can get the new one for about $1600...I wanna get relatively close to that. I don't want to pay more than about $300-400 for the difference.

I'll give you $5 for it.

Seriously, look at completed auctions on eBay.

Adobe will let you "Crossgrade" The Creative Suite for the price of the upgrade, I believe. It may even be free, I'm not sure.

As for Studio 8, if you have it on disc, it's a hybrid disc with both Windows and Mac versions on it, so no worries there. Your only problem is the lack of Universal support.

Probably $800 to $1,000.

Did you can get the 20" CoreDuo refurb'd for $1,400 at the Apple Store?

And remember, leaving the software on the computer without transferring the disks is illegal.

Luck.
