Can any1 tell me if you can put third party Harddisks in the Mac Pro's Bays?
Because i'd like to get a Mac Pro, but im cutting down the expences- so a 2x2Ghz processor, and 160 of HD space.
I know RAM can be added easily, from third parties- but can you do the same with HD's? Right now 160 seems acceptable for me- but if i wanted to upgrade it in a year, could i get the HD's from third parties without spending 400€ for the apple version? In this way i could get a 160 GB Hd now and put in a 250-300Gb one in later.
Apple says the HD's are Serial ATA 3gb/s..... but on the web i can only find Serial ATA 2.5" or 3.5", are the compatible.?
TIA.

Of course. In fact Apple does not make hard drives, your likely to see a seagate, or other type of HD in the MacPro anyways. Just make sure you buy a SATA II drive and you'll be all set.

The Mac Pros aren't compatible with regular SATA drives?

Better to bite the bullet, 160gb HD is rather small and farther in the future, upgrading the HD might be troublesome. Why not stick to a 250gb HD?

First, there is no such thing as SATA II. I don't know why people keep calling any SATA standard that. The Serial ATA organization, SATA-IO, has an entire page dedicated to dispelling this naming crap.
Any 3.5" SATA drive will work in a Mac Pro. Just slap it in the tray (included with the Mac Pro) and go.
