That's not the Finder. Is it?.
Your first folder shows 128 GB. That's a little more than the 24GB that is shown as the capacity of the volume/partition selected. Sorry if I don't understand your question. It is not that it's written in a splendent clarity, though. Care to clarify?

Y no entienden nada... ¡y cómo se divierten!...

That's WhatSize. It leaves stuff out — sometimes large stuff — in my experience. Use OmniDiskSweeper.

chuckit, thanks.

ill try ODS out.

Nai no Kami, the 128gb or whatever is network volumes.

if you look at what space is shown taken up, it shows way less than what finder says is being in use(19.4gb).

im going to try out ODS and see what it says.

for some reason, it was showing another volumes thing on my main partition of my giraffes partition(where most of my videos and stuff is stored)... well it was on my main partition.

anywho, backed up the files it showed to be sure, deleted all the stuff and bam, 14gb or so of free space cleared up

I'm glad you solved your problem, because I have no idea what the heck you're talking about.

The PowerMac forum was obviously the wrong forum to post in.
