I have an external USB Fantom drive case with cables and everything except for the drive, they told me it need any IDE hard disk to work, so i buy a maxtor IDE drive at comp usa with one year warranty and plug everything, now it seems like the system profiler knows that an IDE drive is conected to the mac, but I cant see it on the desktop! I start up the mac with the cd to use the utilities folder for initialize the disk , but it cant be found, how I set up that external usb HD? HOW I INITIALIZE THAT DISK? what i have to do with it? thanxs Albert
