I'm thinking I may buy a broken 512 shuffle on eBay ($10) to recycle it for the 10% discount on an 80GB ($35). Will this work, or do they set limits on the discount?

The Apple store in Indianapolis would not take my Shuffle for the recycling program (even though the web page implies otherwise). But, the Apple Store in Grand Rapids suggested that I use my dead Shuffle to get 10% off, so who knows what the policy is.

Maybe not, but I at least want to know if it's possible. (I really don't think there's that much hassle or risk.)
