Extensions manager crashes

Having problems with extension manager in 9.1. It won't switch configs, and sometimes, won't even start up without crasing the whole computer; tried trashing prefs, replacing prefs from another system folder, replacing extensions manager, etc. Any was to just install this fresh from system disk? Or will this likely not work either?Thanks,

Try increasing Extensions Manager's memory allocation.
To do this, open up the information window. Go to the Memory section and increase the number in the Preferred size box.

I get a type one error - is that the type for memory problems?

P.S. works fine in Classic when I specify to start up with extension manager.

Error number 1 is a bus error. What this means is that the computer tried to access memory that does not physically exist. You may be able to fix it by increasing the memory allocation. To do this, see my previous post (number 30.)
