too bad it was $20,000 lol

what do you think of this promotion, has vw gone so far downhill they have to resort to first act guitars and slash to sell cars?

their parts cost a lot of $$$ in the US compared to other cars

plus they are not as sturdy well built as you are led to believe.

kind of like apple in a weird way

Did you say the same thing when they gave away snowboards and mountain bikes with Jettas? It's just a car promotion, companies do it all the time. The difference is VW thinks outside the box with their marketing...

Oh don't get me wrong. I think Slash is the bomb-diggity (when playing in tune)

I just think him being in that commercial was lame.

I buy VW parts at AutoZone or any of the chain parts stores around here for virtually the same price as any other brand. Same with my BMW on the very rare occasion that it actually needs something fixed.

VW's are built pretty well, depending on the years that you are looking at, unfortunately I dont think that the newer models look that great....too curvy.
