OK ---I try to open appleworks--it won't open. The alert says that I no longer have CarbonLib---it has somehow vanished (I had just installed the 8.6 patch to make iTunes work). So I go get the new one CarbonLib 1.3.1. I read all of the horror stories and still install it because I can't find an older version. It works for a day then ----wham! No more drop and drag! OK, so I take out CarbonLib and restart. Now my Control strip is 1/5 the way up my screen. No longer on the bottom where it was designed to be.
Now I'm stuck without Appleworks (I have Word too, but for some things Appleworks is better), and my control strip not in it's place.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, John Quetsch

To move the control strip, hold down the option key and drag the tab on the end of the strip.
