Does anybody know how to change region code or reset the counter in Apple DVD player 2.0 or 2.2.
I have DvDack and it works in 1.3 version, but not in software players.

Try deleting preference, deleting DVD-player then re-installing, etc. You're bound to find something that works.
This may seem a bit extreme, but I just formatted my hard drive 4 times (friggin Linux!) and that seemed to work exceptionally well :-)

The apple card will switch like 5 times, then it will hold the last code indefinitly, i guess the number is kept in the cards firmware

I found the cure.
Just needed to replace the DVD Rom version to c15C. No more region codes it's working for all.

Works only with G4 & Matshita DVD-ROM SR-8584A with s15C firmware version. Apple player 2.0 & 2.2

it is just a regionfree DVD player, not sure if it works as i haven't tried it yet.
