I was just browsing the net tonight checking to see if the latest episode of Star Trek New Voyages was out and noticed they released the final trailer to star trek of gods and men

The New Episode of New Voyages is rather quite good too it features Walter Koenig reprising his role as chekov...
In Gods and men they say there is supposed to be a special suprise guest.. Im wondering if its gonna be william shatner.. Id love to see him back as kirk

Uh, so this is a fan film, with real actors? (Along with some of the original star trek peeps)
/mind boggles.
I won't diss Star Trek, but I will diss bad fan made movies.

Wow... that was really horrible. It's a shame how low actors will stoop just to get a job. I'm a Star Trek fan.. but that think looked like one of those bad Indian soap operas... the overt over-acting and the extreme close-ups.... yikes... I think they got a college kid to film it.

I still am waiting for a Star Trek similar to Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan (1982). IMHO, it was the only film that I can watch over and over...

Not a parody, it's a serious thing. In fact, it's directed by Tim Russ, who played Tuvok on Voyager. It's sort of mid-way between a fan film and an official production. It has enough pull to get some of the actors, but doesn't look like the studio had an interest in financing it.

the special effects are good for a fan film though... i love the modified constitution class vessels.. kind of dark and evil...

The wobbley camera and zooming made my head hurt. And as unfortunate as it may be, no amount of make-up can make Ohura hot again. If they'd refilm it using a tripod for the camera, and lay off the dramatic zoomyness, I might actually want to see it though.

Hahaha. I actually laughed out loud several times watching that trailer. From the horrible clichéd lines to the in-your-face "satire" to the reuse of the same explosion overlay several times over to the insane first year film student shooting (soap-opera comment above was straight on). Oh dear oh dear.

I disagree, I think the special effects are Awful for a fan film. Esp. The Klingon ship. All together the CG lacks something, I don't have the trailer in front of me so I can't really say which ATM.
