The pictures showed the 25-year-old boarding the busy train with a rucksack, and deliberately turning with his back towards a mother and her child before detonating the bomb on July 21, 2005, exactly two weeks after the 7/7 bombings.

I fail to see why the woman and child business should make it any worse.
If someone is prepared to blow up a carriage full of people, why would he care that there are women and children among the targets? You can't seriously expect terrorists to refrain from carrying out attacks just because some females with children happen to be in the vicinity. They're everywhere.
Come to think of it, killing the woman and child first is probably the more humane thing, seeing as they'd be likely to suffer less and get to "paradise", or whatever, quicker.

yeah, that way they get the full brunt of the nails etc tearing through their bodies; might not die from it, and get to survive and live in physical and mental torment for the rest of their days.
attacking a mother and her child does make it worse.
I don't expect murdering scum like this to not attack because women and children are there - but it serves to illustrate the type of 'people' they are.
