I am looking for a way to do free audio-video chat/conference from mac to PC. I have a macbook. I heared about adium which supports almost IM clients like msn, yahoo,GT etc., but it doesnt do AV. So I am looking for another option. I like the audo quality in GT on PC to PC. But as I know there is no GT currently for mac. Some where I heared I-chat can be configured for GT. Anyway please suggest or guide.

GT-google talk.

I haven't used it, but version 1.7 could do both and as far as I can tell, so does the latest release (1.8):

Mercury - Wiki - Webcam

Were you looking at the right software?

Mercury Messenger Service 1.8 - MacUpdate
