hi, this is probably a stupid question, but is there any way to install tiger on a g4 powermac using the disks that come with a macbook??

thanks for any help

Nope, no way at all.

The PowerMac runs on PowerPC, whereas the MacBook runs on Intel - different types of processor which aren't compatible. OS X was completely re-coded for Intel, Apple did it so seamlessly that you didn't notice

It wasn't completely recoded, it was coded in parallel and in secret from day one. But the point remains. Find a retail copy of Tiger.

orite, cool, i wasnt sure because the retail version has intel and powerpc..
