When I select either of these in the Finder's GO menu nothing happens. Selecting Utilities or Applications work, though.

I can select Network in a Finder window and everything is fine, but if I select iDisk it will give me an error and say "The Volume 'iDisk' cannot be found."

This is strange because they used to work, and I have an iDisk that I can only access by going to the .Mac website.

This is all happening on my laptop - a brand new MacBook.

My desktop can find the iDisk, but Go > Network doesnt work.

Thats odd, did you try repairing permissions and making sure that the computer had no disk errors. Additionally you try creating another user on your Macbook and try to see if the Network is responding.

Good Luck
